January 8th 2026

I am getting cards ready for my January card class cohosted with my sister Kellie McBeath. I just received this card in a swap I participated in and it totally inspired me to create same layout, but an entirely different card. This first one is the one I received,  and the one I made  I will be creating a pdf for the cards I created for this class. The next one I created is using a retired Halloween paper called Spooky sweet specialty dsp. It is retired but I love the colors and i want to show people that you can still use products after they retire and also, just because it is a Halloween paper, doesn't mean you cannot use the other side.  and the last card of mine for the January card class is going to be another thank you card using Lovely blossoms dsp. The thank you is from the Lovely arrangements stamp set.  I still need to embellish this card but the main part is done.
I am very excited about this card class, this will be my third month and there have been different people. Not alot of people but different ones. This month I am going to start a punch card and also door prizes. We'll see if that helps. We'll I am off to create some more. I have swaps to do.

November 14th

Last night was my first in person card class and it was so much fun. I held it at the local art gallery Woodland Park. My best friend Linda came and then there were 2 other ladies that attended also. One of the ladies works at City Market with Linda and the other lady saw the ad on Facebook and signed up.

So, it was a night like any other. I had a class planned and I had been prepping for weeks. Everything was packed up and ready to go and then I took a few minutes to go over my notes that I had made the week prior.  Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I had Linda come over the Week before so we could go through the class and make sure that I had everything ready and made notes of anything that I might possibly forget.  So, back to yesterday.... I have all of my supplies, and I am putting them into bags to bring them, and I have all of the card kits, Blocks, lots of blocks because I wanted all stamps to be on their own blocks instead of taking this one off to switch each time. It really was a great plan.  I had the ink and I reinked the ink pads. I had adhesive and extra adhesive even.  I was getting tired, so I left a little early to head to town, I had to go to the Dollar Tree to get a few things and then I wanted to get to the gallery and get set up. So, I got my stuff and got to the Gallery, The lady that was working at the gallery gave Linda and I a quick tour of what to shut off when we were done and then we started setting up.  A guy showed up to ask a question about handwriting on a Christmas project he was making and then the ladies showed up.  I had everything set up on the nice big table and then I realized .....What is the most important tool that is needed when you are making cards?  You need Paper, Ink and STAMPS!!!! Did you notice that when I mentioned all the supplies I packed up, Stamps was not on there?  I FORGOT THE STAMPS!!!! I was so embarrassed, I could not believe it. The ladies seemed to be ok with it and I think it still went well. I did receive a lot of good ideas and advice for how to plan my next event without forgetting the main ingredient per say. My next class is on December 12, 2025, and I am going to have a checklist for all of the product needed. I don't want to forget something each time :) oh and I forgot to take pictures. :(

I hope you had a chance to take advantage of the free shipping  offer that Stampin' Up! just had. It was a three day offer and a great time to take advantage of getting all your basic supplies without the shipping costs. That's about 11% savings!!!! Crazy when you think about it like that.
But the good news? If you have a wish list that is over $35.00 you can sign up to be a demonstrator  and get either $99.00 worth of product for $35.00 or you can choose $189.00 for $99.00. And both options come with free shipping.  Reach out if you have any questions or need help getting started. I would love to have you on my team.

October 12, 2025

Let's start by saying I believe I am technology challenged. I feel pretty good about what I have learned and then Oops. Now I have to fix what I broke. I have been working on my calendar on my DBWS and I am starting to get the basics down, so I go to my blog and I had just updated part of it the other day. Oops. I broke it. It looks nice but I think I covered up stuff that I wanted to bee seen and I can't figure out how to fix it on my laptop so I had to do my post on my phone.  Well wish me luck.

October 10, 2025

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful parents!!! 44 years married today. If only I knew somebody that made cards, I could send them one. HAHAHAHA!!! I do really need to get better at doing this part, you know, making and sending them. For actual occasions.

Well, today was a working on my Blog Day. I am still trying to learn more about it and how to do different things.  I also put together almost 4 complete card kits. I am going to work on my PDF tomorrow night and then when my order comes in, I am going to finish prepping for this class. I would like to always prep for 10 people. It is possible to sell them later or use them for gifts. Lots of ideas.

As far as learning about my Blog, I am wondering why when I post a photo, most times everything is all good and other times, it loads sideways. Just enough to annoy me.

I went to the public library yesterday and I got myself a library card. I was so excited, i even checked out a book. I think it is about time to donate most of my collection that just takes up shelf space and maybe just start checking the books out from the library. Let them store the books for me.

Well, I hope you like the new look of my BLOG. Just remember, it will forever be a work in progress.  Be sure to leave a comment and share my blog with your friends.

October 9, 2025

Well, it looks like I forgot to post again last night. I have made some progress in the card classes am trying to get started. Today met with the owner of the art gallery in Woodland Park and I spoke with her about hiding classes at her location and it seems that we set it up to where I will be teaching a card making class on the second Thursday of the month for an unknown amount of people. She will be doing the marketing and having all of the logistics go through her. I just show up and teach the class. How exciting is that? I am stoked.
