Karen and Charlotte are trying to raise money for snacks

 Well, hello everybody. I just wanted to give you a quick update on farm life. What can possibly be new on a farm, you ask? All the babies have been born, what else could it be? Ok. So you know that the girlscouts sell their Cookies, boyscout go adventure to earn badges and stuff. What's that got to do with a farm  you ask..... Karen and Charlotte have decided on fundraising. A few weeks ago Karen had mentioned to Charlotte( i got this second hand from Charlotte) that she gets so excited when they get the hay that the goats don't eat and it is such a treat, but, well,  Karen would like some other treats as well.  Charlotte mentioned that the human(me) probably would not go for that. Chicken treats and food are getting expensive. Karen replied to Charlotte, well our human can sell the eggs we give her and with that money she can buys us some treats.  Charlotte agreed that in fact, Karen was probably on to something. A few days later after working on the details, Karen and Charlotte called a meeting with their human(still me) and brought up the suggestion of selling their eggs to friends and strangers and that way they would be able to have some of those treats that other chickens get. As we were discussing the great idea Charlotte suggested that I ( the human) be in charge of the marketing. So I decided that we would give it a go and see if friends and strangers would be interested in purchasing eggs freshly laid by Karen and Charlotte.

All of the blue sapphire chickens

are named Charlotte. 

We also have Americana chickens

and they are named Karen.

I have found that naming similar looking chickens different names.just gets confusing. So this works pretty good.
